The Outdoor Centre is an active member of the local community, supporting a variety of youth group initiatives with reasonable pricing and reservation procedures for small and large groups of school groups, scout groups and outdoor programming groups.

Gear Rentals for CBE schools
Calgary Board of Education schools can rent gear for outdoor trips from the University of Calgary Outdoor Centre. Gear rented for the Monday through Thursday period get a 20% discount from regular rates. CBE schools get a 30% subsidy on all gear rentals. Delivery and return of gear can be arranged. Climbing Wall Programs

School Group Climbing
We offer special climbing lessons for school groups. Wall climbing is a safe, fun way for students to gain skills and build confidence at their own pace, in small groups in a positive, non-competitive atmosphere. The U of C has a Master agreement with the Calgary Public (CBE) and Rockyview school boards, waivers are not needed and booking is easy. A 2 hr. course that teaches knot tying, belaying, rappelling and still leaves lots of time for climbing is only $19 per student. Includes instruction, equipment & exclusive use of our climbing wall. more info/register
