The Outdoor Centre boasts one of the best indoor climbing facilities and instructors in Calgary. In addition to our scheduled registered courses that take place throughout the year, we can also arrange a wide range of private climbing courses inside and outside.

Climbing Wall Programs

School Group Climbing
We offer special climbing lessons for school groups. Wall climbing is a safe, fun way for students to gain skills and build confidence at their own pace, in small groups in a positive, non-competitive atmosphere. The U of C has a Master agreement with the Calgary Public (CBE) and Rockyview school boards, waivers are not needed and booking is easy. A 2 hr. course that teaches knot tying, belaying, rappelling and still leaves lots of time for climbing is only $19 per student. Includes instruction, equipment (except shoe rental. Outside lace-up runners are allowed in the climbing wall) & exclusive use of our climbing wall. Call 220-3695 for more information or to register your group.
