Learn the basic skills you need to start backpacking in the Rockies.
This series of lectures can be taken one at a time or as a
comprehensive package. Informative lectures include information on
backpacking equipment , menu planning, food drying, outdoor cooking,
camp set-up and useful knots. With this knowledge, you can make your
next backcountry camping trip fun, safe and comfortable!

Backpacking Basics Lecture

Learn how to prepare for backpacking in the Rockies. Topics include how to select gear such as packs, tents, sleeping bags, and clothing, how to plan backcountry meals and menus and how to set up camp.
