The Outdoor Centre offers a variety of backpacking basic lectures and backpacking trips to Kananaskis, Banff National Park and the West Coast Trail with experienced and knowledgeable guides.

Intro to Lightweight Backpacking-Get your pack on
This course combines Intro to Lightweight backpacking lecture with a weekend backpacking trip. Take the skills learned in the lecture and apply them outdoors. This course is open to people of all ages and abilities.

Enjoy an extended weekend among towering limestone mountains and alpine lakes. This trail follows the Floe Lake Trail to Numa Pass and is completed via Tumbling Creek Trail.

West Coast Trail
Enjoy seven days of challenging backpacking in Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island. Hike along sandy beaches and coastal shelves, through rainforests and mud, up ladders and across bridges. This is a rugged and difficult hike and is only recommended for fit hikers! Includes: experienced guide, group camping gear, permits, camping fees and a 10% discount on gear rentals (backpacks, sleeping bags and gear can be rented through the Outdoor Centre).
